The nonprofit YPO represents close to 30,000 chief executives involved in business in almost every country in the world. The influence of this group across multiple industries is reflected in the fact that members lead companies that generate some $9 trillion in revenue per year and provide jobs for more than 20 million individuals. As a major organization focused on leadership development, YPO provides a range of opportunities for these executives to learn from one another and from some of the world’s most forward-thinking professionals. YPO has supported panels and discussions as part of its regular meetings in Davos, Switzerland, of top thought leaders and influencers in industry and government. Early in 2019, YPO sponsored a Davos panel on expanding the societal contributions of global business beyond bottom-line profits. The discussion featured the insights of businesspeople, government officials, and nonprofit leaders as they focused on cooperation among companies and other institutions with the goal of improving life for ordinary people around the world.
