With a career spanning over 25 years, Richard Waterfield serves as the chairman and CEO of Waterfield Enterprises, an investment holding company with a strong focus on the energy, financial services, real estate, management consulting, agriculture, hospitality, and technology sectors. As the leader of the company, Richard Waterfield has overseen various acquisitions and divestitures including NeoFirma.

On January 2019, Waterfield Energy, a holding company of Waterfield Enterprises, announced its acquisition of NeoFirma, an energy software firm that provides a suite of accessible, cloud-based solutions to power the drilling and production operations of oil and gas producers in North America. Since its founding in 2003, NeoFirma has helped exploration and production companies gather data, track operations, optimize spending, and forecast trends.

According to Pete Waldroop, the CEO of Waterfield Energy, integrating NeoFirma’s product suite into the company’s operation will result in improved client service all around. Steve Haflund, the president of NeoFirma, assumes the role of vice president of field operations at Waterfield Energy. He stated that joining forces with Waterfield Energy has allowed them to offer solutions to a wider user base.
