W Energy Software - New Name Reflects Customer-Centered ERP Software

An alumnus of Columbia University, Richard Waterfield graduated with a degree in economics and belongs to the Columbia Club. Richard Waterfield serves as co-chairman and CEO of Waterfield Group, which encompasses several asset management, investment banking, and financial technology companies, including W Energy Software, which recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary and its recent name change.

Formerly named Waterfield Energy, W Energy Software celebrated its 10th anniversary in November 2019. The company has become a leader in cloud-based midstream and upstream enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. The company’s software stands out in that it allows users to efficiently analyze a single data set instead of forcing users in the oil and gas sector to piece together information from multiple software products.

The new name of W Energy Software, or WE, clearly identifies what the company does and emphasizes the company’s focus on its customers and its collaborative approach to solving their business challenges.
